2000 Refurbishment

The Weighbridge Building, located in the historic town of Marlow, was previously occupied by the Wethered Brewery, but the building had fallen into a state of disrepair.  The re-development brief was to restore the building to office use and to incorporate basement parking.  Planning permission was granted on the condition that the original features were retained, in particular, the external brick façade and the exposed timber roof beams.

The property is predominantly one large floor plate with an additional mezzanine level.  Adopting a full underfloor air conditioning system has allowed the timber beams to be retained, offering a unique contemporary office space with historical features.  Completed in 2000, the system comprises 4 CAM-C35 zone units and around 40 Fantiles. The speculative space offers open plan accommodation with a number of perimeter meeting rooms and is currently occupied by medical specialists, Open Health.
