2013 Refurbishment

7 Soho Square was retained and refurbished by Land Securities as a flagship scheme and the former Art Deco building was vertically extended with a glass pavilion roof.  The Art Deco ceilings were left exposed creating opportunity for air conditioning and services designed to suit the functionality of the space.

Underfloor air conditioning was specified for the fit-out of the vacant fourth floor at 7 Soho Square to provide additional comfort cooling when TripAdvisor secured a ten year lease in 2012.  The 1615 sq. m floor area is air conditioned by a single CAM-C unit with direct expansion coils and served by the building’s Mitsubishi 2-pipe heat pumps.  As the floor void is only 90mm deep and too shallow to accommodate the recessed air terminals, the floor standing console units have been adopted as an alternative solution.
